Add users in FacilityOS

You can add employees as users in FacilityOS so they can sign in to the platform.

Add a user

  1. From the left sidebar in FacilityOS, click the Settings Screenshot of the settings icon. icon, then select Users.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the screen, click + New user.
  3. Enter the user's full name and email address.
  4. From the FacilityOS Role drop-down menu, select a role to assign to the user.
  5. Under "Site assignment", add the sites the user will have permission to manage.
  6. If you want to set a password for the user, turn off Send invitation email for the user to set their password, then enter their password.
  7. Click Add. Your user will receive an email inviting them to FacilityOS.

Assign a user access to your modules

After you add the user, their "Edit" screen will appear. Here, you can give them access to manage the modules available in your FacilityOS platform.

  1. On the "Edit" screen, turn on the toggle for the module you want them to manage.

  2. In the right-side panel that opens, select the role they will have in the module, then click Save.

Bulk add users

Important:

To bulk add users in FacilityOS, they must first be added to the address book. To learn how, see Add hosts to the address book.

  1. From the left sidebar in FacilityOS, click Manage, then select Address Book.

  2. Select the check box next to the names of the hosts you want added as users.

    Note:

    The hosts you select will all share the same role and be assigned to the same sites. To ensure your users have the correct permissions, we recommend only selecting hosts that will share the same role and sites.

  3. Click Bulk Actions, then select Invite Users From Selection.
  4. Assign their roles and sites, then click Next.
  5. Review your invitations, then click Send Invitations. Your users will receive an email inviting them to create a password so they can sign in.
