Set up mobile status requests

Mobile status requests allow Safety Officers and administrators to communicate directly with employees and visitors during an emergency.

Who can use this feature?

  • Account Administrators or Site Administrators with access to EmergencyOS and VisitorOS
  • Available on the EmergencyOS Corporate tier

About mobile status requests

When an emergency starts, all participants receive an SMS message with details about the emergency and the option to update their status in real time. Participants can respond with one of the following statuses:

  • Evacuating: The participant is actively evacuating the site.
  • Assistance required: The participant needs help evacuating and is requesting assistance. Security Officers or other designated personnel are notified and can message or call the participant directly to assist them.
  • At Mustering Point: The participant has evacuated the site and is at the mustering point.
  • Absent - Off Site: The participant is not at the site.

Note:

Mobile status requests are only available for emergency profiles with the Roll Call response type. Building Sweep and Alert Only response types do not offer mobile status requests.
