Run an emergency profile test

After you add an emergency profile, you can test it to confirm that the mustering list is accurate and that the emergency profile works as intended without interrupting employees or visitors at your site.

Who can use this feature?

  • Users with the Account Administrator or Site Administrator role, or any user with permission to manage Emergency Profiles
  • Available on the Corporate tier

Test an emergency profile

  1. From the left sidebar in EmergencyOS, click Manage, then select Emergency Profiles.

  2. Select the profile you want to test.
  3. In the upper-right corner, click Run Profile Test.
  4. In the "Test Emergency Profile" modal, you can configure the following settings:
    • Send Test to: By default, you are included as a recipient of all notifications enabled for the profile. To include other users or employees, enter their names here.
    • Notify Site Emergency Contacts: When this setting is turned on, notifications are automatically sent to all emergency contacts listed for the site.
    • Additional notification text: You can add custom text to the notifications associated with the emergency profile so participants know the notifications are part of a test.
  5. To start the emergency profile test, click Launch.

After you are satisfied with the results, you can end the test. For more information, see End an emergency.
