Add a vendor

You can add a vendor in ContractorOS to track their tasks and ensure they are compliant to work at your site.

Who can use this feature?

  • Users with the Account Administrator or Site Administrator role
  • Available on all tiers

Add a vendor

  1. From the left sidebar in ContractorOS, click Manage, then select Vendors.

  2. Click Add Vendor to open the "Vendor Details" window .
  3. Enter the name of the company in Company Name.
  4. (Optional) Enter the phone number of the person who is responsible for the business in Phone Number.
  5. Enter the name and email address of the person who is responsible for the business in Contact Name and Email, then click Next.
  6. On the "Select Sites" step, select the sites the vendor will be working at, then click Next.
  7. On the "Assign Tasks" step, select the tasks the vendor must complete to be compliant at your site.
  8. Select the Contractor tab, then choose the tasks for contractors. These will be the tasks available when adding a contractor.

  9. Click Next.
  10. In the "Document Notification" step, follow the instructions for your ContractorOS tier:
    • Advanced tier: ContractorOS automatically sends an invitation to the vendor to sign up for a Vendor Portal account. Click Next to continue.
    • Essentials tier: (Optional) If you do not want to email the vendor to request the required documents, turn off Send email to vendor to request selected documents, then click Next.
  11. Click Done.
