You can add a contractor in ContractorOS to keep track of their documents and ensure they meet compliance requirements for work at your site.
Who can use this feature?
Note:
If you are on the Advanced tier, vendors can add their own contractors. To learn more, see Add a contractor to the Vendor Portal as a vendor.
Add a contractor
- From the left sidebar in ContractorOS, click Manage, then select Vendors.
- Select the vendor that you want to add the contractor to.
- Select the Contractors tab.
- Click Add Contractor.
- On the Contractor Details step, enter the contractor’s Name, Email, and Phone Number, then click Next.

On the Assign Tasks step, select the tasks the contractor must complete, then click Next.
Note:
If you need to add tasks before assigning them to contractors, contact your Customer Success Manager.
- On the "Document Notification" step, follow the instructions for your ContractorOS tier:
- Advanced tier: ContractorOS automatically sends an invitation to the contractor to sign up for a Vendor Portal account. Click Next to continue.
- Essentials tier: (Optional) If you do not want to email the vendor to request the documents selected in the Assign Tasks step, turn off Send email to vendor to request selected documents, then click Next.
- Click Done.
