ContractorOS release notes – May 2026

We are pleased to announce the following new and improved features in our May 2026 release!

ContractorOS AI-powered document autofill

Required tier Available to all ContractorOS customers.

ContractorOS now uses AI-powered OCR to automatically extract and populate compliance form fields from uploaded documents. When a vendor or contractor uploads a document (such as a certificate, license, or ID), ContractorOS instantly reads the file and fills in key fields like names, certification numbers, and expiry dates. Instead of manually entering information, users can simply review and submit.

This shifts the compliance workflow from manual data entry to a faster, review-based process, helping teams get up and running in ContractorOS more quickly.

Key updates include:

  • Automatic extraction and population of form fields from uploaded documents.
  • Support for PDFs, images, and scanned files.
  • Highlighting of fields that were auto-filled vs. those requiring manual input.
  • Ability for vendors and contractors to review and edit all fields before submission.
  • Support for multi-file uploads (front and back of IDs), with intelligent field handling.

Key Benefits:

  • Faster onboarding and time to compliance: Vendors and contractors can complete submissions in minutes instead of manually entering data.
  • Reduced manual effort and improved accuracy: Eliminates repetitive data entry and minimizes errors from manual input, reducing inconsistencies.
  • Better user experience: Simplifies the submission process, making it easier for vendors and contractors to comply.

Edit vendor and contractor emails in sent status

Required tier Available to all ContractorOS customers.

Site admins and vendor admins can now edit vendor and contractor email addresses even after an invitation has been sent.

Previously, email addresses could not be changed once a user reached “Sent” status, requiring backend support to make updates. With this release, users can update email addresses directly in ContractorOS and resend invitations as needed.

When an email address is updated, the original invitation is invalidated, and users have the option to send a new invitation to the updated email. If a new invitation is not sent, the status will revert to “Not Sent,” allowing it to be triggered later.

Note:

After a vendor or contractor accepts their invitation, you cannot edit their email address. To change their email address, contact your Customer Success Manager.
