EmergencyOS release notes – June 2026

We are pleased to announce the following new functionality in our June 2026 release!

Required tierAvailable on EmergencyOS Corporate Tier

Participant–Recipient Alignment in Emergency Profiles

EmergencyOS now automatically aligns notification recipients with the participants selected in Emergency Profiles. Previously, participant groups and notification recipients were configured separately, which could result in notifications being sent to unintended audiences during incidents.

With this update, notification recipients now default to match the selected participants, ensuring notifications are sent to the right people without additional setup.

Admins still have the flexibility to override this behavior when needed, but by default, EmergencyOS now ensures tighter alignment between who is involved in an event and who gets notified.

Key Benefits:

  • Reduced over-notification: Prevents alerts from being sent to unnecessary or irrelevant audiences.
  • Improved communication accuracy: Ensures the right people are informed during an incident.
  • Simplified configuration: Eliminates the need to manually align participants and recipients.
  • Greater flexibility: Supports both targeted alerts and broader communications when needed.

Kantech Access Control Integration

Required tierAvailable on EmergencyOS Corporate Tier

EmergencyOS now integrates with the on-premise version of Kantech Access Control to automatically maintain mustering lists using badge activity from configured Kantech readers. When employees badge in using designated Kantech readers, EmergencyOS captures their onsite status and adds them to the Signed In List as “Employees”. If they badge-out, they are automatically removed from the list.

Employee activity is also automatically synchronized every 15 minutes and immediately refreshed whenever a Test, Drill, or Emergency event is triggered, helping ensure mustering data remains accurate during evacuations.

The integration also allows organizations to filter activity by specific doors, access control panels, or areas to ensure only relevant onsite activity is included.

Key Benefits:

  • Accurate mustering lists: Automatically reflects who is onsite using real access control activity.
  • Reduced manual effort: Eliminates reliance on manual sign-ins and spreadsheets during emergencies.
  • Flexible configuration: Supports filtering by doors, panels, and areas to match site requirements.
  • Automated evacuation readiness: Immediate synchronization during drills and emergency events helps improve response accuracy.
