VisitorOS release notes – July 2026

We are pleased to announce the following new functionality in our July 2026 release!

Separate Edit & Delete Permissions for Visitor Logs

Who is this for?

  • Site and Account Admins who manage user roles, and security or front-desk teams responsible for maintaining visitor records.
  • Available to all VisitorOS customers.

Admins can now grant Edit Visitor Logs and Delete Visitor Logs as separate permissions. This gives organizations more control over who can correct visitor records while limiting the ability to permanently delete them.

How it works

  • Two separate permissions are now available in Role Settings
    • Edit Visitor Logs
    • Delete Visitor Logs
  • Users with Edit Visitor Logs can update visitor information without access to delete records.
  • Only users with Delete Visitor Logs can permanently remove visitor records.
  • Existing roles that previously had the combined Visitor Log permission will automatically retain both permissions after the update, ensuring no disruption.
