Real-Time Hazard Alerts – Now Available for Canadian Sites
Who is this feature for?
EmergencyOS now integrates with Canada's National Alert Aggregation & Dissemination (NAAD) system to surface real-time external hazard alerts for Canadian sites directly within the platform.
Canadian sites now receive the Hazard Alerts feature already available to US sites:
- Active Alerts card on the Dashboard displaying relevant alerts for impacted sites.
- Ability to start an emergency directly from the dashboard alert, reducing time from awareness to action.
- Geolocation-based relevance, ensuring only alerts affecting a site's area are shown.
- Automated email notification to account admins and site admins with alert details, including event name, severity, urgency, site name, and expiration time.
- Ability to configure email notifications to selected users, roles, or contacts.
Alerts automatically appear and expire in sync with the source feed, ensuring teams always see up-to-date information.
The Canadian alert catalogue covers a broad set of life-safety threats issued by authorized government agencies, including:
- Fire: urban, industrial, wildfire, and forest fire
- Natural hazards: tornado, flash flood, earthquake, hurricane, tsunami, thunderstorm, storm surge, landslide, dam overflow, magnetic storm, and volcanic hazards (ash, lahar, pyroclastic flow and surge)
- Biological & chemical: biological, chemical, radiological, and drinking water contamination
- Hazardous & environmental: explosive, air quality, falling object
- National security & civil: terrorist threat, civil emergency, animal danger, and 911 service disruption
When NAAD includes more than one language in an alert, EmergencyOS displays each version as provided. Depending on the issuing agency, this may include both English and French.
Note:
Test messages and Amber Alert / Missing Person alerts are now filtered out and will no longer appear for sites in either Canada or the United States, so teams only see alerts that are actionable for their site.

Past Event Logging in Mustering History
Who is this feature for?
Admins can now log historical drills and emergencies directly in Mustering History, so records that predate EmergencyOS live alongside system-generated events in one place.
New capabilities include:
- A new Log Event button in Mustering History, visible to users with the “Active Evacuation” permission.
- A guided form that captures the key details of a past event, including site, date, nature of emergency, drill vs. emergency, and response type.

Users can optionally attach supporting documentation for evidence and additional data including start and end time, targeted time, and evacuee or zone status.
Note:
For existing customers, the ability to attach a file directly to a mustering event from the log has been removed in this iteration. Supporting documentation is now attached through the Log Event workflow and the Event Details page.
- Manually logged historical records will be clearly distinguished from events native to EmergencyOS with a tag.
- If a logged historical drill is more recent than a native EmergencyOS event, the site's Last Drill Date is automatically updated.

- Audit Readiness: Present a complete drill and emergency history in one place, with supporting documentation attached, including events that predate EmergencyOS adoption.
- One Source of Truth: Retire the parallel paper file or SharePoint folder that teams maintain alongside the platform.
- Trend Analysis: Review patterns and learnings across a longer time horizon instead of only the period since implementation.
- Accurate Compliance Reporting: Logging a recent historical drill updates the site's Last Drill Date, so compliance status reflects what actually happened rather than only what EmergencyOS recorded.
- Meets Teams Where They Are: Sites don't have to abandon their existing records to adopt EmergencyOS, taking away a common source of hesitation during onboarding.
