LogisticsOS release notes – September 2026

We are pleased to announce the following new functionality in our September 2026 release!

AI Receiving Assistant: Sorting capability

Who can use this feature?

  • Mail and parcel receiving staff, mailroom operators, and logistics teams responsible for receiving and sorting parcels.

Smart Scanner and the AI Receiving Assistant now support an end-to-end receiving and sorting workflow in the mobile app. After scanning a parcel label, users can review and update its details, optionally print a label, and complete sorting without switching to the web portal.

How it works

  • Choose between Receive and Sort modes. Users can switch between the following tabs at the top of the Smart Scanner screen:
    • Receive: Uses the existing AI-assisted scanning workflow to receive the parcel. Sorting must be completed later in the web portal.
    • Sort: Includes the receiving workflow and uses AI to read the parcel label, populate its details, and complete sorting directly in the mobile app.
  • Follow the processing status. After a label is scanned in Sort mode, Smart Scanner displays the following statuses: Processing details, Uploading label, and Matching the recipient.
  • Review and update parcel details. AI automatically populates parcel fields and displays the confidence level for the recipient match. Users can review recipient, sender, and parcel information.
  • Print a label from Smart Scanner. Turn on Print Label from the Parcel Details screen to display a label preview and the available printer options. When the label is ready, select the print button.
  • Capture a recipient's signature. Before submitting an individual package or all packages, select Sign from the scanned parcels list. Capture the signature, select Save, and then select Submit to complete the workflow.

Key benefits

  • Complete the workflow from a mobile device. Staff can receive, review, print, and sort parcels without moving to the web portal.
  • Process parcels faster. Teams can move parcels from intake to ready-to-process status immediately, even during periods of high volume.
  • Choose the appropriate workflow. Staff can continue using Receive mode for label capture or use Sort mode to complete receiving and sorting in one workflow.
