Add a user in VisitorOS

You can add user in VisitorOS to give them access to sign in to the portal.

Required tier Corporate, Enhanced, or Enterprise tier. What is my tier?
Required permission Manage users. This permission is included by default for the account administrator and site administrator role. What is my role?

Add a user

When you add a user in VisitorOS, they are also added as a user in FacilityOS. They are not added to other FacilityOS modules.

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS, select the Settings Screenshot of the Settings icon. icon, then select Users.

  2. Click New User.
  3. In the Name field, enter the user's full name.
  4. In the Email field, enter the user's email address.
  5. From the VisitorOS Role drop-down menu, select the user's role in VisitorOS.

    Note:

    Selecting "Account Administrator" or "Site Administrator" assigns the user the same role in FacilityOS. Any other selection assigns the "Basic" role in FacilityOS.

  6. Follow one of the steps below for which sites to assign the user:
    • To assign the user to all sites, select All Sites
    • To assign the user to specific sites, under "All Sites", use the drop-down menu to select the desired sites.
  7. If you want to set a password for the user, turn off Send invitation email for the user to set their password.

    Note:

    If the user will sign in with SSO, the password set on FacilityOS will not be used.

  8. Click Invite. After users receive their credentials or are configured in your SSO, they can sign in. To learn how users can sign in, see Sign in to FacilityOS.
