Set up your Brother QL-1110NWB printer

Learn how to turn on your Brother QL-1110NWB printer, and connect it to your network or kiosk (iPad) via Bluetooth.

Note:

If you received your printer and iPad together from the FacilityOS team, the printer is already configured for badge printing via Bluetooth. To set up things quickly, see Quick setup for your kiosk and printer.

What is in the box

When you receive the box containing the printer the following items will be included:

  • 1 Brother QL-1110NWB printer
  • 1 DK roll inserted into the printer
  • 1 AC Adapter
  • 1 AC cable connector 

If any items are missing, contact your customer success representative or the FacilityOS support team.

Turn the printer on

  1. Connect the AC adapter to the AC power cord.
  2. Connect the AC adapter to the printer.
  3. Connect the AC power cord to a grounded AC power outlet.
  4. On the printer, press the power power_button.png button to turn it on. The LED light above the button will turn green.

Connect the printer

You can connect the Brother QL-1110NWB printer to your network or connect it to your iPad via Bluetooth. For the easiest and most reliable experience, we recommend connecting via Bluetooth.

Connect via Bluetooth

  1. On the printer, Press and hold the Bluetooth bluetooth_icon.png button until the LED light above it turns blue.
  2. On the iPad, pair the printer with Bluetooth. For more information, see Apple's article, Pair a Bluetooth accessory.

    Note:

    In the iPad Bluetooth device list, the printer name starts with "QL-1110NWB".

Connect to your network

Obtain the IP address

If you connected the printer to your network, you will need the printer's IP address to set it up with VisitorOS.

  1. While the printer is on, press and hold the Cutter cut_icon.png button to print the set-up information.
  2. On the set-up information, locate the IP address.
