Set up sign-in notifications

You can set up sign-in notifications for your site so hosts know when their visitors arrive.

Sign-in notifications

1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS, click the Settings icon, then select Sites.
   
2. Select the site you want to set up sign-in notifications for.
3. Select the Notifications tab.

4. Under Sign-In Notifications, click Configure.

   Important:

   If you do not see "Sign-In Notifications", you do not have access to advanced settings. To request access, contact the FacilityOS Support.

   

5. Turn on the notification methods you want hosts to receive when their visitors sign in:

   • Turn on Email for email notifications. You can then customize the sign-in email.
   • Turn on SMS for text message notifications. You can then customize the SMS message.
   • Turn on Voice for voice message notifications.

   Important:

   To receive notifications, the host's address book entry must be set up with the same notification method. For more information, see Change how hosts receive sign-in notifications.

6. Click Save.

Customize the sign-in email

You can customize email notifications by selecting which information about the visitor is shown to hosts. The information available to show depends on the data fields enabled for the site.

The following visitor information is always displayed in the sign-in email when provided and cannot be hidden:

• Full name
• Visitor photo
• Visitor type
• Site
• Host name
• Company

Customize the SMS message

If you turn on "SMS", hosts receive the default message shown below when a visitor signs ins.

[VisitorFullName] is waiting for you @ [SiteName] Reception.

To customize this message, edit the text field under "SMS". You can use the placeholders listed in the table.
