You can set up sign-in notifications for your site so hosts know when their visitors arrive.

Sign-in notifications
- From the left sidebar in VisitorOS, click the Settings
icon, then select Sites.
- Select the desired site.
- Click Notifications.

Under "Sign-In Notifications", click Configure.
Important:
If you do not see "Sign-In Notifications", you do not have access to advanced settings. To request access, contact your customer success representative or the FacilityOS support team.

Turn on the notification methods you want hosts to receive when their visitors sign in:
- Turn on Email for email notifications.
- Turn on SMS for text message notifications.
- Turn on Voice for voice message notifications.
Important:
To receive notifications, the host's address book entry must be set up with the same notification method. For more information, see Add hosts to the address book.
- Click Save.
Customize the SMS message
If you turn on "SMS", hosts receive the default message shown below when a visitor signs ins.
[VisitorFullName] is waiting for you @ [SiteName] Reception.To customize this message, edit the text field under "SMS". You can use the placeholders listed in the table.

Troubleshoot host not receiving sign-in notifications
If a host is not receiving notifications when visitors sign in, use the troubleshooting options below to resolve the issue.
- Check that the following information is set up correctly in the address book for the host. If you need to update the host details, see Edit host details.
- Check that the host's email address or "Mobile Number for SMS Notifications" is correct.
- Check that the host has the correct "Visitor Sign-in Notification Methods" selected.
- Power off the iPad, then turn it on. For more information, see Apple's article Turn iPad on or off.
