Printing Visitor Badges Using The Brother HL-32X0CDW Printers

NOTE: There are a number of Brother HL series printers that can work with iLobby. This article will cover the HL-3230 and HL-3270 or HL-3280CDW printers, and the process for printing badges will remain the same for each model.

1. Make sure that you are using the 4x6 Pre-cut badge paper, and ensure that it is placed on the printer tray in portrait orientation:

6. Once you have selected the Setup Wizard, the printer will scan for WiFi networks in the area. Once it finds the networks, select the network you wish to use (ensure that it is the same network that the iPad is using). Once the desired network is selected, the green WiFi button on the printer will become solid green.

7. In the same Network menu, use the arrows to navigate to TCP/IP:

8. In the TCP/IP menu, navigate to IP Address, and record the displayed IP address of the printer:

9. In the iLobby portal, under Settings > Sites > Features > Badge Printing, set the connection method to WiFi / Ethernet and enter the printer's aforementioned IP address in the IP Address field. Additionally, ensure that the Media Type is Pre-Cut 4x6 (Color):
