The Virtual Kiosk is the digital alternative to a regular iPad Kiosk solution. The virtual kiosk can be used at the locations where iPads are not feasible, or when there are a lot of visitors arriving at the same time and some of them can sign in on the virtual kiosk while others are using the iPad.

Managing Virtual Kiosks in the Portal
Virtual Kiosks are managed in VisitorOS under Devices. To access the Devices page:
- Login to VisitorOS - https://login.facilityos.com
- Click Manage > Devices from the navigation menu
3. Click on the Virtual Kiosk to open its profile.
Tip: A virtual kiosk represents a unique QR code. You can download it as image and place it in your lobby for visitors to scan it. There is also the link which you can share with visitors to use the virtual kiosk on their PC.
Badge Printer Settings
For set-ups with iPad Kiosks and printers, there are two options for badge printing:
- Select Use Any Available Live Device to use the first available printer at the site to print a badge

The Select a Kiosk with a Printer Connected uses a specific iPad Kiosk’s printer as configured in the device settings
Note: The iPad must be online when configuring this option
Signing in using a Virtual Kiosk
To sign into a virtual kiosk, you can scan the QR code with your phone camera, or you can open the link on any device (desktop, mobile phone, tablet). Scanning a QR code or following the link will launch the virtual kiosk web application.
- Select I’m Arriving. The How may I help you? screen will display
- Select your Visitor Type. The Tell us about yourself screen will display
- Enter your personal details
- Clicking on the blue Next button will launch photo capture
- Select Browse to select a photo from your phone library, take a photo, or choose it form File
- Select Next and once you have cropped your photo;
- Select Accept
- Enter the name of the person you are visiting and select the matching host record

- You may be directed to review necessary compliance documentation
- After review, select Accept & Sign
- Enter your signature and tap on Accept and Sign

The Is everything correct? screen will display. Tap on Finish to complete the sign-in

If there is no printer connected to print a badge, then you are Signed In!
- If there is an iPad kiosk with a printer connected, the virtual kiosk will generate the unique QR code for you, so you can print your badge
Printing your badge
At the iPad:
- Click on Start to launch the iPad’s front camera
- Show your issued QR code to the iPad's front camera for scanning
- The badge will be printed, and you will see the final screen confirming that you are signed in. Your host will receive a notification and will come to meet you shortly
Signing out using a Virtual Kiosk
To sign out of the virtual kiosk:
- Scan the QR code with your phone camera or follow the link to launch the virtual kiosk web application.
- Select I’m leaving
- Type in your name and select the matching visitor record
- You are successfully signed out!
