Add a contractor as an admin

You can add contractors and assign tasks so they can meet site requirements before they start work.

Required role Account administrator or site administrator
Required permission Available on all ContractorOS tiers.

Note:

If you are on the Advanced tier, vendors can add their own contractors. To learn more, see Add a contractor as a vendor.

Add a contractor

  1. In the left sidebar of ContractorOS, select Manage, and then select Vendors.

  2. Select a vendor.
  3. Select Contractors.
  4. Select Add Contractor.

  5. On the Contractor Details step, enter the contractor’s Name, Email, and Phone Number.
  6. Select Next.
  7. On the Assign Tasks step, select the tasks the contractor must complete, and then select Next.
  8. If you are on the Essentials tier, you can decide if you want to request documents from the contractor by email, which you will find above the task list. If you already have the required documents, turn off Send email to vendor to request selected documents. If you do not have the required documents, leave this option turned on.

    Note:

    On the Advanced tier, contractors can sign in to the ContractorOS Vendor portal and upload documents to complete tasks. To learn more, see Complete tasks as a contractor.

  9. Select Done. If you are on the Advanced tier, the vendor will need to log in to the ContractorOS Vendor portal and send an invitation to the contractor. The contractor can then sign up for an account and be added to the ContractorOS Vendor portal.
