Use the Smart Scanner app

Use the LogisticsOS Smart Scanner app to scan high volumes of parcels and upload parcel details to the LogisticsOS parcel log for sorting and routing.

Required tier Advanced or Enterprise tier. Essentials tier customers can use Smart Scanner as a paid add-on. What is my tier?

Scan parcels

  1. Open the LogisticsOS Smart Scanner app.
  2. Point your camera at the parcel label to capture the barcode automatically.

    Tip:

    If the app does not capture the barcode, try adjusting your camera settings. For more information, see Change camera settings for the Smart Scanner app.

  3. If multiple barcodes are detected, select the white circle icon on the barcode you want to use.

  4. When you are finished scanning all parcels, select Scanned Parcels.

  5. Select Sign.
  6. Draw your signature.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Select Submit to upload the parcel details to LogisticsOS.

Edit the condition of a parcel

When you scan a parcel, its condition is set to "Good" by default. If the parcel is damaged, opened, or wet, you can update the condition.

  1. Select Scanned Parcels.

  2. Select a parcel.
  3. Under "Parcel Condition", select Update.
  4. Select the condition you want to apply to update it.

Delete a parcel

  1. Select Scanned Parcels.

  2. Select a parcel.
  3. Select Delete Parcel.
  4. Select Yes to confirm.

Change the selected barcode

If multiple barcodes were detected on a label and you selected the wrong one, you can change the barcode.

  1. Under "Scan label", select the three vertical dots vertical_icon_logisticsOSapp.png icon for the most recently scanned parcel.

    Note:

    To change the barcode for an earlier parcel that was scanned, delete that parcel and scan it again.

  2. Select Change Parcel ID.

  3. Select a different parcel ID to update the barcode.
