Set up sign-out notifications

You can set up sign-out notifications for your site so hosts know when their visitors have signed out.

Who can use this feature?

  • Users with the Account Administrator or Site Administrator role, or any user with permission to manage Sites
  • Available on all tiers

Sign-out notifications

Hosts can receive sign-out notifications only by email.

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS, click the Settings Screenshot of the Settings icon. icon, then select Sites.

  2. Select the desired site.
  3. Click Notifications.
  4. Under "Sign-In Notifications" click Configure.

  5. Turn on Email.
  6. Click Save.

    Important:

    To receive notifications, the host's address book entry must be set up with the same notification method. For more information, see Add employees to the address book.

Customize sign-out message

If you turn on "Email", hosts receive the default message shown below when a visitor signs out.

Hello [HOST_NAME],

Our system indicates that the visitor [VISITOR_NAME] has successfully signed out from your facility.
[VISIT_END]

To customize this message, edit the text field under "Email". You can use the placeholders listed in the table.

Placeholder Description
[HOST_NAME] Displays the name of the host.
[VISITOR_NAME] Displays the visitor's full name.
[VISIT_END] Displays the date and time as: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM

Tip:

If you need to customize the email further, contact your customer success representative or the FacilityOS support team.
