Manage the Address Book

You can edit, pin, deactivate, or delete Hosts in your Address Book.

Required tier Corporate, Enhanced, or Enterprise tier. What is my tier?
Required permission Manage address book. This permission is included by default for the Account Administrator and Site Administrator roles. What is my role?

Edit Host details

Note:

If the Host is managed in an external system (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID), we recommend making changes in that system.

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS or FacilityOS, click Manage, then select Address Book.

  2. Select the desired Host.
  3. If the Host is managed by an external system, you can remove the connection. Keep in mind that after you do this, your system will no longer sync the Host’s information to the Address Book. To remove the connection, click Unlock.

  4. Make any changes to the Host.
  5. In the upper-right corner, click Save.

Pin a Host

You can pin a Host so they appear on the "Host selection" screen. This lets visitors select the Host without needing to search for them.

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS or FacilityOS, click Manage, then select Address Book.

  2. Select the Host you want to pin.
  3. In "Details", turn on Pin to 'Host selection' screen.
  4. Click Save.

Deactivate or activate a Host

You can deactivate a Host in the address book to temporarily prevent them from being visited, and then activate them again when needed.

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS or FacilityOS, click Manage, then select Address Book.

  2. Select the Host you want to update.
  3. Next to their profile picture, turn off Active to deactivate them or turn it on to activate them as a Host.

  4. In the upper-right corner, click Save.

Delete a Host

Note:

If the Host is managed in an external system (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID), delete them in that system.

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS or FacilityOS, click Manage, then select Address Book.

  2. Use the search bar to find the Host by their name, email, or phone number.

    Tip:

    To narrow the results, click the Filter Filter.png icon, and then apply your filters.

  3. Next to the Host you want to delete, click the Delete Screenshot of the Delete icon. icon.
  4. Click Yes to confirm and delete.
