You can edit, pin, deactivate, or delete Hosts in your Address Book.
Who can use this feature?
Edit Host details
- From the left sidebar in VisitorOS or FacilityOS, click Manage, then select Address Book.
- Select the Host you want to edit.
- If an external system manages the host, a message will appear above their name to let you know. We recommend editing the host's details in your external system. If you want to continue editing their details in the Address Book, you can unlink the Host from the external system. Keep in mind that after you do this, your external system will no longer sync their details to the Address Book. To unlink the Host, click Unlock.
- Make any changes to the Host.
- In the upper-right corner, click Save.
Pin a Host
You can pin a Host so they appear on the "Host selection" screen. This lets visitors select the Host without needing to search for them.
- From the left sidebar in VisitorOS or FacilityOS, click Manage, then select Address Book.
- Select the Host you want to pin.
- In the Details tab, turn on Pin to 'Host selection' screen.
- Click Save.
Deactivate or activate a Host
You can deactivate a Host in the address book to temporarily prevent them from being visited, and then activate them again when needed.
- From the left sidebar in VisitorOS or FacilityOS, click Manage, then select Address Book.
- Select the Host you want to update.
- Next to their profile picture, turn off Active to deactivate them or turn it on to activate them as a Host.
- In the upper-right corner, click Save.
Delete a Host
Note:
If the Host is managed in an external system (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID), delete them in that system.
- From the left sidebar in VisitorOS or FacilityOS, click Manage, then select Address Book.
- Use the search bar to find the Host by their name, email, or phone number.
- Next to the Host you want to delete, click the Delete
icon.
- Click Yes to confirm and delete.
