Manually run a watchlist check

Before signing in a visitor, you can manually check whether they match a watchlist member.

Who can use this feature?

  • Users with the Account Administrator role, or any user with permission to manage Watchlists (All)
  • Available on the Enterprise tier or with the watchlist add-on

Run a manual check

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS, click Manage, then select Watchlist.

  2. In the upper-right corner, click Manual Check.
  3. In the "Manual Check" panel, enter the visitor’s details, then click Start Check
  4. After the check is complete, the following information can be reviewed:

    • The watchlists that were checked.
    • Whether a match was found. A match is labeled "Hit". No match is labeled "No hit".

      Note:

A "Hit" does not always mean the visitor is denied entry. If a watchlist is configured to approve visitors, it will also show a "Hit".

    • If the watchlist can approve or deny the visitor, "Status" shows whether the visitor is approved or denied entry.
