Recommended settings for your iPad

You can follow the recommended iPad settings below to make sign-ins easier for your visitors.

Change keyboard settings

1. On your iPad, open the Settings app.
2. Tap General.
3. Tap Keyboard.
4. Turn off Shortcuts.
5. Turn off Split Keyboard.

Change brightness and display settings

1. On your iPad, open the Settings app.
2. Tap Display & Brightness.
3. Set the Brightness slider to approximately 70%.
   
4. Tap Auto-Lock.
5. To keep the iPad screen from turning off during sign-in, tap Never.

Turn off auto-brightness

1. On your iPad, open the Settings app.
2. Tap Accessibility.
3. Tap Display & Text Size.
4. Turn off Auto-Brightness.

Set up Guided Access

To prevent visitors from exiting the VisitorOS app, in your iPad settings, set up Guided Access. Then open the VisitorOS app and start a Guided Access session.
