Start an emergency for an active hazard alert

When you receive an active hazard alert notification, you can start an emergency by selecting the appropriate emergency profile to evacuate people from your site.

Required tier Corporate tier. What is my tier?
Required permission Active evacuations. This permission is included by default for the safety officer, account administrator, and site administrator roles. What is my role?

Start an emergency evacuation

  1. From the left sidebar in EmergencyOS, click Dashboard.
  2. In the "Active Alerts" panel, select the alert you want to start an emergency for.
  3. Click Start Emergency.

  4. From the Select Profile drop-down menu, select an emergency profile.
  5. Optionally, in the Add Start Message Email field, you can provide participants with more details about the emergency.
  6. Click Start Emergency to send the evacuation notification.
