When you receive an active hazard alert notification, you can start an emergency by selecting the appropriate emergency profile to evacuate people from your site.

Start an emergency evacuation
- From the left sidebar in EmergencyOS, click Dashboard.
- In the "Active Alerts" panel, select the alert you want to start an emergency for.
- Click Start Emergency.
- From the Select Profile drop-down menu, select an emergency profile.
- Optionally, in the Add Start Message Email field, you can provide participants with more details about the emergency.
- Click Start Emergency to send the evacuation notification.
