Assign a default host to a visitor type

When you assign a default host to a visitor type, visitors will automatically be assigned to that host when they choose that visitor type during sign-in.

Note:

When visitors are signing in, they will still have the option to select a different host.

Who can use this feature?

  • Users with the Account Administrator or Site Administrator role, or any user with permission to manage Sites
  • Available on all tiers

Assign a default host

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS, click the Settings Screenshot of the Settings icon. icon, then select Sites.

  2. Select a site.
  3. Select the Personalization tab.
  4. Under "Visitor Types", click Configure to open the Visitor Types settings panel.

  5. Find the visitor type you want to set up for automatic host assignment, then click the Edit edit_cion.png icon next to it.
  6. Turn on Auto Assign Host.
  7. Use the search bar to find and select the host you want to assign automatically when visitors select this visitor type. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for any additional visitor types you want automatically assigned to a host.
  8. Click Save.
