Send a mass notification

Mass notifications allows you to send targeted messages to employees and visitors without starting an emergency or drill. You can use this feature to communicate site closures, outages, severe weather, safety concerns, or other important information to specific groups of people.

Who can use this feature?

  2. In the upper-right corner, click New Notification to open the New Notification side panel.
  3. From the Site drop-down menu, select the site where you want to send the notification. You can only select one site per notification.

    Important:

For employees to receive SMS notifications, make sure their details in the Address Book include a mobile number. To update an employee's details, see Edit employee details.

For visitors to receive notifications, make sure the appropriate pre-built data fields are selected: Email Address for email notifications and Phone Number for SMS notifications. For more information, see Manage data fields.

  6. Under Message, enter your email or SMS message.

    Note:

Mass Notifications does not currently support automatic message translation.

  7. (Optional) To preview the notification before sending it, click Send Test to Me. You will receive a test notification to review how it appears to recipients.
  8. Click Send to send the mass notification.
