Troubleshoot kiosk battery draining

If the kiosk (iPad) does not stay at 100% charge while it is turned on, use the troubleshooting options below to resolve the issue.

Check the cable and charging brick

Check that you are using an Apple cable and charging brick. If you are using a third-party charger, make sure it meets Apple’s minimum requirements. For more information, see Apple's article Power adapter and charge cable for iPad.

Drain the battery

If you are using the correct cable and charging brick, try draining the battery.

  1. Unplug the iPad, to let the battery drain completely.

    Note:

    Do not turn off the iPad. Keep it on while the battery drains.

  2. Plug the charging cable back in.
  3. Press and hold the power button to turn on the iPad.

Factory reset the iPad
