Access visitor type settings to manage which visitor types are available during pre-registration and sign-in.

Access visitor type settings
- From the left sidebar in VisitorOS, select the Settings
icon.
- Select Sites.
- Select a site.
- Select Personalization.
- Under Visitor Types, select Configure to access its settings panel.
Visitor type settings
After you open the Visitor Types settings panel, you can add, edit, disable, delete, or reorder visitor types.
Note:
To apply changes across multiple sites, open the Visitor Types settings panel and select Apply to All Sites with Default Settings. Enable this option for each site you want to sync.
Add a new visitor type
In the Visitor Types settings panel, you can add a visitor type in one of the following ways:
- To use a pre-built visitor type, under Add Visitor Type, select an option from the Select Type drop-down menu.
- To create a custom visitor type, select New Visitor Type, then edit the visitor type details. For more information, see Edit visitor type.
Edit visitor type
Edit a visitor type by selecting the Edit icon in the Visitor Types settings panel.
Important:
Settings marked as Advanced Setting are only available to some account administrators. If you are an account administrator and need access to these settings, contact your customer success representative or the FacilityOS support team.
| Setting | Description |
| Title | The internal name for the visitor type. This name is only visible in the Visitor Types settings panel. |
| Screen label | The name of the visitor type that is shown when signing in, creating an event, or adding a guest. If your site supports multiple languages, you can add translations. |
| Hide on Devices (Advanced Setting) | Hides the visitor type for guests during pre-registration and sign-in. This will still allow your users to select the visitor type when creating events, inviting guests, or signing in people visiting your site. |
| Auto Assign Host | Automatically assigns a host when the visitor type is selected. The host can still be changed during sign-in. |
| Badge Header Color (Advanced Setting) | Sets the badge header color for this visitor type. The color badge printing add-on is required. |
Disable or delete visitor types
- To disable a visitor type, clear the field’s checkbox.
- To delete a visitor type, select the Delete
icon. If you later recreate the visitor type, you must apply your settings again.
Reorder visitor types
You can change the order in which visitor types appear during sign-in and sign-out. To reorder them, click and drag the visitor types to a new position in the list.
