Change pre-registration settings

You can set up pre-registration for your site so guests can fill in their information before they arrive, helping them sign in faster.

Required tier Enhanced or Enterprise tier. Corporate tier requires the pre-registration add-on. What is my tier?
Required permission Site configuration. This permission is included by default for the Account Administrator and Site Administrator roles. What is my role?

Access pre-registration settings

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS, select the Settings Screenshot of the Settings icon. icon, then select Sites.

  2. Select the site you want to configure pre-registration for.
  3. Select the Features tab.
  4. Under "Pre-Registration", click Configure to open the settings panel.

After opening the pre-registration settings panel, use the options below to control whether guests must complete pre-registration and when they receive invitations.

Pre-registration invitations

You can turn pre-registration on or off and set whether it is required before guests sign in.

  • To let guests complete pre-registration when they receive an event invitation, turn on Send Pre-Registration Invitations
  • To require guests to complete pre-registration, turn on Pre-Registration is Mandatory. If this setting is on, guests will receive their event QR code only after completing pre-registration.

Customize when pre-registration invitations are sent

If pre-registration is turned on, under "Pre-Registration Invitations", choose when to send invitations.

  • To send the invitation as soon as the guest is added to the event, select Immediately Upon Adding the Guest to the Event.
  • To send the invitation at a later time, select Hours Before the Event Start Date. Enter how many hours before the event start time the invitation should be sent.

Invitation method

Under "Event and Pre-Registration Invitation Methods", select Email, SMS, or Both.. If you select both, the event creator can choose either method when sending invitations.

Important:

This setting does not affect quick-invite events. Quick-invite events always send invitations by email.
