Change visitor photo settings

You can choose whether visitors must take a photo during sign-in, and configure related photo options.

Required tier Corporate, Enhanced, or Enterprise tier. What is my tier?
Required permission Site configuration. This permission is included by default for the account administrator and site administrator role. What is my role?

Change visitor photo settings

  1. From the left sidebar in VisitorOS, click the Settings Screenshot of the Settings icon. icon, then select Sites.

  2. Select a site.
  3. Click Features.
  4. If Visitor Photos is off, turn it on.
  5. Under "Visitor Photos", click Configure.

  6. Make any of the following changes in "Visitor photo settings":
    • Turn on Photo Capture is Optional to let visitors skip taking a photo during sign-in.
    • Turn on Photos May be Retaken to let visitors retake their photo.
    • In Countdown Duration, enter the number of seconds visitors have to prepare before the photo is taken automatically.
    • Turn on Limit to Specific Visitor Types to select the visitor types that should be asked to take a photo. If this setting is off, all visitor types will be asked to take a photo.
  7. Click Save.

Troubleshoot upside down photos appearing in VisitorOS

If visitor photos appear upside down in the VisitorOS portal, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  1. On the kiosk (iPad), swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open the Control Center.
  2. Tap the Rotation Lock ipad_rotation_icon.png button, so that it is on. For more information, see Apple's article Rotate the screen on your iPad.
  3. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen or tap the screen to close the Control Center menu.
  4. Open the VisitorOS app.
