Reset your Brother QL-820NWB printer

If your badges are not printing, you can try unpairing the printer from your kiosk (iPad), factory resetting the printer, and then pairing it again.

Note:

Before resetting the printer, see Troubleshoot badges not printing during sign-in for solutions to common issues that can prevent badges from printing.

Reset the printer

  1. With the badge roll inside the printer, press and hold the power Screenshot of the power button icon. button to turn off the printer.
  2. On the iPad, unpair the printer from Bluetooth. For more information, see Apple's article, Unpair a Bluetooth accessory.

    Note:

    In the iPad Bluetooth device list, the printer name starts with "QL-820NWB".

  3. Turn on the printer, then factory reset it. For more information, see Resetting data (QL-820NWB).
  4. On the printer, press Menu.
  5. Using the up [▲] and down [▼] buttons, highlight Bluetooth, then press OK.
  6. Highlight Bluetooth (On/Off), then press OK.
  7. Highlight ON, then press OK.
  8. On the iPad, pair the printer with Bluetooth. For more information, see Apple's article, Pair a Bluetooth accessory.
  9. Restart the VisitorOS app. For more information, see Apple's article, Quit and reopen an app on iPad.
