Factory reset your iPad

You can factory reset your iPad to install the latest iOS updates from Apple or troubleshoot issues that require you to reset your iPad.

Important:

Before you reset your iPad, make sure you have a new activation code so you can set up your iPad after the factory reset. To get an activation code, contact the FacilityOS support team, or see Obtain a new activation code for your iPad.

Set up your iPad after a factory reset

  1. After the factory reset is complete, follow the on-screen instructions to set your language and region.
  2. On the "Quick Start" screen, tap Set Up Without Another Device.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
  4. On the "Remote Management" screen, tap Enroll This iPad.
  5. On the "Location Services" screen, tap Enable Location Services.
  6. When iPad setup is complete, open the VisitorOS app.
  7. On the VisitorOS welcome screen, tap anywhere on the screen.
  8. Tap Use a code.

  9. To connect your iPad to your site, enter the activation code.
  10. If you use a printer via Bluetooth, pair the printer with your iPad. For more information, see Apple’s article Pair a Bluetooth accessory.
