We are pleased to announce the following new and improved functionality in our July 2025 release!
Arrival Assist – Relaunch of Assisted Sign-in
Product Tier: Available as a paid add-on for the VisitorOS Corporate and VisitorOS Enhanced plans and included in the VisitorOS Enterprise plan
Assisted Sign-In is now Arrival Assist, with expanded functionality. Users, particularly security guards, can now move visitors from the “Expected Today” list to the “Pending Sign-In” list. This helps track when a visitor physically arrives at the gate, before they complete sign-in at a kiosk.
As a reminder, Assisted Sign-in allowed front desk teams to start the visitor sign-in process from within the portal and transfer it to the kiosk, where visitors could complete steps like forms, photos, and badge printing. Arrival Assist now supports both this original workflow and the new functionality for security guards.
Key Benefits
- Complete Audit Trail – Creates a clear digital trail from the moment a visitor enters the facility gate to when they sign in at the kiosk, closing the visibility gap during transit time.
- Enhanced Security & Compliance – Helps sites meet compliance and regulatory requirements by clearly documenting visitor presence, even before kiosk check-in.
- Improved Security Guard Workflow – Security personnel can quickly confirm a visitor’s arrival without relying on manual processes that are error-prone and time-consuming.
- Role-Based Access – The new Security Guard system role provides limited, purpose-built permissions, eliminating the need for manual custom role setup, saving admin time, and ensuring users only see information relevant to their role.
- Accessible for All Visitor Types - Enables receptionists and front desk staff to support visitors who may have accessibility needs, limited tech fluency, or language barriers. Staff can complete most sign-in steps in the portal, so the visitor only needs to sign off at the kiosk
